Ahaspora Young Professionals is made up of young, Ghanaian professionals who have lived or been educated outside Ghana and have returned home to give back and make a difference. The group recognizes the immense potential, talent and opportunity that exist in Ghana, and want to use their knowledge, skills, and resources to help make Ghana a better place to live.
“Aha” is an Akan word for “Here” and “Spora” is a stem of Diaspora. This name befits the new status of being home, but having the mindset of the Diaspora. The groups aims to bridging the gap between returnees and those who held the fort by sharing ideas and experiences in building a true “Gateway to Africa”. They are passionate about giving back to our Motherland.
E-mail Christabel Dadzie at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the listserv and network. The young professionals are quick with their response and always willing to answer questions and address some of the pressing issues faced by returnees.
