Boti Falls is a spectacular seasonal waterfalls situated in the Eastern Region of Ghana, about 17km Northeast of Koforidua, the regional capital of the Eastern Region.
This waterfalls features two falls, side-by-side and are accessed via a scenic descent 250 concrete steps to the bottom of the falls. Boti Falls was first to be enlisted by the National Tourist Board in Ghana because of its magnificent nature.
We had an opportunity to visit Boti falls and we must say it did not disappoint. The location was magnificent and the view enchanting, which made it extremely hard to leave.
The Umbrella Rock is about thirty minutes walk in the forest from Boti falls. It can also be reached by car in about 10 minutes.
A somewhat strenuous hike to Umbrella Rock can also be done from the visitors center, therefore, it is recommended you hike in the cool of the morning. Once you reach Umbrella Rock the view is unforgettable and peaceful.
Both Boti Falls and Umbrella Rock are home to the Akaa Project, which we had the pleasure to visit during our time exploring the region.
