I am a poet and a playwright. I believe in the power of arts to transform the thinking and influence the attitudes of people. I have embarked on a project to capture the beauty and complexity; the essence of Africa, through theatre, film, and publications.
I seek to showcase an alternative narrative of Africa; one that projects the positives to inspire and reinvigorate confidence in the continent.
I am also a man of the world, I believe our diversity enriches our human experience. I strive to keep an open mind, cultivate a profound tolerance and, as much as possible, embrace all the divergence that colours our world.
I enjoy a good laugh. I find solace in music. I like to stroll in the abundance of nature. I find great wealth in books. I trust my instincts and I repose great faith in the divine order of things.
Why you should listen
After a decade of active practice in the creative arts industry, I appreciate how powerful a tool it is to effect change. The experiences and insights I have gained are worth sharing.
As a young African who strives to be Afrocentric in his thinking, I welcome any opportunity to encourage others to do same.
It is only when we have a deep understanding of who we are as a people and where we have come from, can we make any meaningful progress in our effort to uplift this continent.
