Sacha Okoh is the founder of So Aesthetic Make-Up and also a professional make-up artist. After being frustrated with the colors of foundation and concealers on the market for dark skin especially in Ghana and the high prices of good make up, she developed a range of cosmetic products to suit all ages and ethnicity.
She opened her own make-up studio a few years ago in Osu, Accra, with a line of make-up products and services called SO Aesthetic Make-up with the SO standing for the initials in her name.
Sacha always loved to do make-up, but the idea for SO Aesthetic started after she hired an artist from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics for her wedding. It was then that she realized that this could be a good business venture. During a trip to the UK, she enrolled in make-up school to sharpen her make-up skills and explore the possibilities of a make-up line. Back home in Ghana she tried her skills and products on her family and friends who were very happy with her products. With the help of companies that help small businesses grow and a lot of personal research, Sacha was able to launch her make-up line and open up her studio. Her products simply work for all Ghanaian women of colour taking into consideration climate conditions and the kinds of colours and shades that suit the dark skin of Ghanaians.
Sacha works with a small company that manufactures her make-up and describes the production process as very scientific and complicated. According to Sacha, there is a lot of heart and soul that goes into every product. Sacha is excited to provide good quality products that ranges from lipstick, lip gloss, blush, face powder, foundation, eye lashes to make-up remover wipes at an affordable prices.
