AN AFRICAN FASHION GENIUS – Aisha Ayensu

“You will be a success you will make it to the top. Just stay grounded that is what will keep you at the top.’’ – Aisha Ayensu

The Christie Brown Collection is a Ghanaian based fashion brand that answers the call by the Ghanaian community for an international approach to fashion design. Christie Brown was founded in March 2008 by Aisha Ayensu whose love affair for fashion began at an early age, however, the real motivation came from her watching her grandmother Christie Brown, a seamstress, create rich and vibrant garments. As Creative Director of the fashion brand, Aisha Ayensu has produced fascinating designs that have made both her and her brand internationally recognized. In 2009 she won the emerging fashion designer of the year award in Johannesburg, South Africa.
