TIME WITH NUZRAT NYARKO – MOTIVATOR TO YOUTH

I am Miss Nuzrat Nyarko, affectionately called Efe, a young lady doing so much for the community.

After realizing that I had a passion to direct and inspire the young ones and that I enjoy spending time with and putting smiles on the faces of the aged, I thought of creating a Foundation that can carry out my mission and motives. So, Solace Inc. was born.

I named the Foundation Solace Inc. to symbolize something that gives comfort, consolation, and relief. My vision is to provide comfort and consolation to the less privileged while making the aged feel some sense of belonging in the community. Solace Inc. seeks to direct the young generation onto the right path to impact them positively so that they are more useful to their families and country. I was inspired by friends who encouraged me after I told them my intentions.

In the last five months, Solace Inc. has been able to inspire Primary School students and the Senior High School students at Mando, a community in the Central Region under the Ajumako/Anyan/Essiam Municipal. Solace Inc. visited these kids on the 11th of February, and my team and I taught them the benefits of the internet and how to use it. We also taught them the importance of utilizing their time for academic excellence. 500 copies of exercise books and pens were distributed to the kids. The older women in the community were not left out, as they were given some hampers. Smiles were put on the faces of these women making them know that they still have to be happy even at their age.

Once again, I am Nuzrat Mamme Afua Nyarkoa, also known as Efe, and born to a family of nine siblings. I had my basic education at Hariom International School and proceeded to Methodist Senior High School in Saltpond, all in the Central Region. I am currently majoring in Journalism at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. I won the 2015 “Face of Mando” beauty pageant and authored the story, “What Goes Around”.

I look forward to serving as a source of inspiration to young ones of motherland Ghana and creating an impact in the lives of the aged across the various regions in this country in the next five years.
