The Ghana StartUP Cup is a business model competition that helps grow viable businesses and enhance entrepreneurial ecosystems. The Ghana StartUp Cup is an accredited member of the global network of locally driven business model competition opened to any type of business idea. It is a model to build feasible businesses, nurture employment and increase entrepreneurial settings.
Participants in the business model competition are guided to design a viable business model, develop customers and accelerate their start-ups into the marketplace through a comprehensive six-month judging, coaching, and mentoring process. During the course of the six months programme, the entrepreneurs will be given the chance to size-up and score the competition, gain access to each others’ workplace, and sample the goods and services of their competitors, prove their financial status and open up to expert mentorship.
The competition would arm entrepreneurs with skills which would propel them from the ground to the highest levels in business and develop a diverse entrepreneurial climate.
Submission of applications for the 2014 edition of the competition started on August 29th and closes on October 5th. The year’s edition would be crowned with a top 7 finalist award ceremony on December 12th.
