#AfricansRising Photo contest call for entry to all African photographers in Africa and the Diaspora.
Submission deadline is 10th May 2017.
Africans Rising is a new movement of people and formations, working for justice, peace & dignity.
We are determined to foster an Africa-wide solidarity and unity of purpose of the Peoples of Africa to build the Future we want – a right to peace, social inclusion and shared prosperity.
The grand prize winner for 2017 shall win a one-month residence in either Tanzania or South Africa. Here, they will spend a month working on a photography project with the theme ‘Africans Rising.’
The theme for 2017 is ”AfricansRising, IAmAfrican”- a theme to celebrate our identity, history, and heritage as Africans.

The Contest ends May 10th, 2017, at 11:59 pm East African Time (the Entry Deadline). All entries must be received by the Entry Deadline.
WHO MAY ENTER
African citizens, at least 18 years of age living within the African continent and its territories. African citizens living in the diaspora may also enter.
Employees of Africans Rising and each of their affiliates, subsidiaries and agents, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) or persons living in the same households of such individuals, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win a prize.

Your file names on the picture should include your surname and your given name.
Sample file names;
In the email, include a short biography of yourself and a paragraph about each photograph.
The preferred size is 72 dpi jpeg with either Adobe 1998, sRGB or Untagged colour profiles.
The images should have a maximum resolution of 2000 pixels on the long side.
You may enter a maximum of only three photographs.
