About the National Youth Volunteerism & Patriotism Awards

Volunteerism and patriotism are two attributes prerequisite for any nation to achieve accelerated national development. Ghana has seen great volunteers and patriotic individuals like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Yaa Asantewaa and many others who went through many obstacles to make our nation great and strong. However, there is every indication that the country currently is in dire need of nothing but altruistic individuals who will make it work again.

The event, therefore, has been put together by the Osei-Kusi Foundation (OKF), Salt & Light Ministries (SALM) and Selfless4Africa (S4A) to rekindle the spirit of volunteerism and patriotism and raise a new breed of Ghanaians who love their country and are willing to sacrifice for future generations.

It would feature the grand final of the 2017 edition of the Community Service Award (CSA) which is the biggest platform in Ghana for tertiary students to exhibit volunteerism and patriotism as their contribution towards national development.

Over the past three years, OKF and S4A through the award scheme have raised leaders to make positive contributions towards national development, one community at a time.
