Alliance Française Accra presents the second edition of ‘Eha Ke Zan’; a musical concert by sensational traditional musician; Osagyefo Louis on Wednesday 27th April 2016, La Paillote Stage, Alliance Française Accra at 7.30 pm.
For this month’s La Paillote Takpekpe, Alliance Française Accra presents EHA KE ZAN; a musical festival that blends several art forms including music, dance and fashion by traditional and salsa musician; Osagyefo Louis.
EHA KE ZAN is from the Ewe dialect which literally means ‘the convergence of music’ as the festival is a blend of traditional and salsa music.
Born in Ghana in a family of musicians with his father being a percussion player and dancer, Osagyefo, as he is popularly known, started to sing at a really young age. Working for years in the show business industry he finally decided a couple of years ago to launch his musical career. His singular style combining traditional Ghanaian music – such as ‘agbabza’ and salsa rhythms will undoubtedly make you dance.
Osagyefo Louis, who has been working with Alliance Française Accra for several years now as a sound and light technician, has always had a strong passion for music. After a successful launch of his first album; “Conviction”, in April 2015, Osagyefo will be at it again this year as he performs some songs from his album along with a fashion show and Salsa dance.
This is the second edition of a music festival he began last year and intends to do it annually. Last year, it was a blend of music and salsa dance. Adding to the excitement this year is a fashion show and the presence of renowned instrumentalist (keyboardist) from Togo; Frank Gbgedema. Also performing will be famous Salsa diva from Togo and mentor to Osagyefo; San Sipio.
‘The audience should expect to see a new system of singing with a different form of groove. ‘I want people to know that I am not only good back-stage controlling the light and sound during events but also excellent when it comes to stage performance too’, he says.
If you missed it last year, this year is an opportunity to enjoy a novel experience in a traditional-salsa ambiance. The concert takes place on Wednesday, 27th April, 2016 at Alliance Française Accra-La Paillote Stage at 7:30pm.
This cultural blend will thrill patrons, especially the salsa dance and delight our eyes with a special fashion show. The audience should expect an exciting evening of delightful African music.
This event is partnered by Woodin.
