Upcoming writer; Elsie .E. Srodah and fashion designer; Beryl Abou Chedid present ‘Love On The Runway’-a love story told through music, dance, fashion and drama on Wednesday 28th October, 2015 at Alliance Française Accra at 7:30pm.
Aiming at integrating people from all walks of life as well as send a positive message especially to the youth to keep working and building on their dreams, two female friends, Elsie .E.Srodah and Beryl Abou Chedid present a fashion drama titled ‘Love On The Runway’
Love twirls in style when Randy, a modest saxophonist wins the admiration of a royal princess. Caught in a battle of love, Randy soon discovers it takes more than musical genius to secure love in regal circles. ‘Love On The Runway’ is a project that captures the essence of love expressed through fashion, drama, music and cultural dance.
According to the Producers, Elsie and Beryl, the event is a collaborative effort of the arts that is fashion and drama fused together. Its elements are; a fashion show, stage play backed by an orchestra of African drumming and dancing as well as saxophone music.
‘It’s a variety show solidified on one platform, captured through realism. Its dynamic in the sense that were are telling a traditional story with a contemporary tone’. (Elsie)
They said the idea was inspired by their pursuit to come together to merge their artistic worlds to promote African (Ghanaian) culture and to make a good impact on the girl child.
The event will take place on Wednesday 28th October 2015 at Alliance Française Accra-La Paillote Stage at 7:30pm.
For them, they want the audience to expect to have a night of quality entertainment, laughter, and a good time.
‘Love On The Runway’ is part of La PailloteTapkepke, a monthly event organized by Alliance Française Accra to promote young cultural actors with one of a kind projects that blend several art forms in a dynamic way.
