The 5th Accra Youth Summit is a gathering of Ghana’s great future. It is the largest inspirational event of its kind which gathers the most gifted, audacious and impacts Young Achievers from various fields of endeavor to inspire hundreds of convened young people to step up to the challenge of designing Ghana’s destiny by unleashing their latent potentials.
The 2017 edition of the Summit is on the theme MONEY; How to Make It, Manage it & Multiply It. The thrust of this edition is to empower and educate participants in the wisdom of money making. The content of the event is designed to teach and train in financial independence, income generation, talent monetization, investment, business building and wealth creation.
The 5th Anniversary Celebrations has been spiced up with a bouquet of exciting programs namely: ACCRA YOUTH SUMMIT will gather hundreds of young people together at Christ the King Hall, in an exciting festival of fun, excitement and education. Participants will be challenged, inspired and equipped by Young Achievers from various fields of endeavour. The event will feature young entrepreneurs, corporate executives, entertainers, educators, technology developers and innovators, engineers, sportsmen among others. ACCRA YOUTH SUMMIT Campus Tour – as part of the build-up to the main event, there will be a tour to various tertiary campuses with high-profile mentors to generate momentum for the big day. These events will be organised in partnership with various Student Representative Councils across the region.
The Accra Youth Summit was first held in 2013 and has had 4 previous editions. Those editions of the summit have inspired over 2,000 young people in the city of Accra. Past editions of the event have featured various young achievers including award-winning journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni,former broadcaster, entrepreneur and politician Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, award-winning shoe maker Tonyi Senayah, respected corporate executive Petra Aba Asamoah, internationally-recognized business consultant John Armah, renowned broadcaster Conrad Kakraba, veteran radio host Bernard Avle, technology expert Maximus Ametorgoh, branding and digital publishing guru Bernard Kelvin Clive.
It has also featured rapidly rising young entrepreneurs such as Mabel Simpson of Msimps, Israella Kafui Mansu, founder of cosmetics manufacturer Mansuki, Stephen Ahwireng Jnr, Founder and CEO of Mantra Auto Finance, Alfred Selorm Betepe, founder of Ghana’s flagship signmaker Selo Art, Richmond Asumadu, tech developer and founder of Brich, and many more.
